Lights

Its late & there's only few mins till the end of Deepavali.
For people who don't know, I do celebrate it.
It's not something I extremely look forward too.
Neither would you catch me watching television, counting down.


This year was different from the rest, in a bad way tho.
I haven't even bought my Deepavali clothes.
Neither did I go visiting, people came over instead.
Atleast I got to collect goody colorful packets.
Few more years to go and I won't even get em anymore.


Yup, that sums it.
That's the kind of Deepavali you get from an average guy.
And thanks to everyone who bothered to wish me.
I appreciate it, very much.

So, this is what it finally has become.
What happened to 'Together till the end?'
& what happened to greatest friends?

You walked away, just like that.
Throwing away everything we were.
What happened to the dreams we said we would achieve together?
What happened to the promise we made to each other?
What happened to "I'm you're half like how you're mine"
What happened to brothers forever?

You told me you wanted to fly,
& I let you go.
You've made your mind.
So It's okay i guess.
Cause I've made mine.

Locked in.

Oh, so here i am.
Locked out of my lecture room cause i was late =/
Like WTH kind of reason to lock someone out. I wanted to listen to her you know, tch.
And so I'm gonna use my time wisely to blog.


Days back, it was 7th October. And you know what that means.
It was my Birthday! woohoo.
And I was glad i was able to celebrate it with a great bunch.
I didn't expect anything extravagant, but I was more then delighted & I appreciate it.

The decision

Time's up.
So, will I get to stay?
Or will memories be all I'll have left?

"Friends Forever", you promised.
“Together till the end.”
We did everything with each other.
You were my best friend.

When I was sad, you were by my side.
When I was scared, you felt my fear.
You were my best support -
If I needed you, you were there.

You were the greatest friend.
You always knew what to say:
You made everything seem better.
As long as we had each other,
Everything would be okay.

But somehow along the line,
We slowly came apart.
I was here, you were there,
It tore a hole in my heart.

Things were changing,
Our cheerful music reversed its tune.
It was like salt without pepper,
A sun without its moon.

Suddenly, we were miles apart,
Different people, with nothing the same.
It was as if we hadn’t been friends;
Although we knew deep in our hearts
Neither one of us was to blame.

You had made many new friends
And luckily, so had I.
But that didn’t change the hurt-
The loss of our friendship made me cry.

As days go by, things must change.
But our memories don't have to end.
Even though it is different, now,
You will always be my friend.
